Getting Started with Your DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro & Multifunctional Charging Handle
Welcome! Here's a quick guide to help you confidently use the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro camera and the Multifunctional Charging Handle. Your camera comes fully set up, charged, with a microSD card inserted—ready to shoot right out of the case.

📦 Key Buttons and Ports
Shutter/Record Button (Top Right)
Press once: Take a photo or start/stop recording.
Press and hold (when off): Instantly powers on and starts recording (SnapShot mode). The camera auto-powers off if left idle for 3 seconds.
Quick Switch Button (Left Side)
Press and hold: Power on/off.
Press once: Switch shooting modes. During recording, press to mark a highlight in your footage.
Touchscreens (Front & Back)
Show live view, mode, battery, and SD card status.
Tap to change settings or playback footage.
Swipe Down (from top): Control menu (brightness, orientation lock, voice control, etc.).
Swipe Left/Right: Switch between Photo, Video, Timelapse, etc.
Swipe Up (from bottom): Adjust resolution, aspect ratio, etc.
🧭 Touchscreen Tips
Tap the icons to adjust settings or access recorded media.
From the top swipe menu, you can:
Lock screen
Enable Voice Control
Switch front/rear screen
Manage brightness and more
🎮 MULTIFUNCTIONAL CHARGING HANDLE OVERVIEW
This handle is more than just a grip—it extends battery life, adds control buttons, and includes a microphone port and tripod stand.
🔘 Handle Button Functions
Power Button
Press and hold: Turn the handle on/off.
Quick Switch Button
Press and hold: Turn off the camera.
Press once: Turn on the camera or cycle shooting modes.
Shutter/Record Button
Press once: Take a photo or start/stop video (only works when connected to the camera).
C Button (Custom)
Press once: Switch between front and back screens (single-screen preview).
🔌 Ports and Features
USB-C Connector (Top) – Connects to the camera for charging and control.
USB-C Charging Port (Back) – Used to charge the handle itself.
3.5mm Mic Input (Back) – For external microphones (TRS only).
Foldable Tripod (Bottom) – For stability in static shots.
Status LED Lights – Show current battery level or charging status.
🔋 Charging Notes
Charging the Camera:
Make sure the handle is powered on.
Connect the USB-C plug from the handle into the camera’s USB-C port.
The camera will begin charging automatically.
Charging the Handle:
Open the USB-C port cover on the back of the handle.
Plug into a compatible charger (DJI recommends PD chargers).
LEDs will indicate charging progress.
💡 LED Indicators on Handle
LEDs light up to show remaining power.
Flashing LEDs indicate charging.
If all LEDs flash rapidly, the temperature may be too high or too low—let the handle return to normal temp.
🎤 Using External Microphones
Plug a 3.5mm TRS microphone into the port on the back of the handle.
Note: Headphones are not supported. Handle must be powered on for mic to work.
