Filming GuideUpdated 5 months ago
🎬 You’re the storyteller
No need for fancy shots, just capture the moments as they happen. Keep it fun, relaxed, and natural.
🎤 Essential Filming Tips
✔ Keep it steady – Use the built-in tripod or hold the camera steady.
✔ Get close – Better sound & video quality when you’re nearer the action.
✔ Find the light – Bright, natural light is best. Keep the light behind the camera, not the subject.
✔ Film plenty – More clips = more memories. The couple can always choose later!
✔ Mix it up – Capture wide shots (whole scene), medium shots (people), and close-ups (rings, reactions, details).
đź’ˇ Vlogging Tips
🎙️ Talk to the camera! Imagine you’re FaceTiming a friend—describe what’s happening, share reactions, or ask guests questions or leave messages for the couple.
📸 Film people, not just things. The couple will love seeing guests having fun, not just décor.
🎥 Pass it around! The best footage comes from different perspectives, so share the camera!
Ceremony & Speeches
These are some of the most important moments, so set up early and get it right!
🎤 Before the Ceremony or Speeches Start
âś” Clip the wireless microphones onto one of the couple, the officiant or other people speaking.
âś” Set up Camera 1 on its tripod with a clear, static view of the couple. (The signing table is perfect for ceremonies)
✔ Camera 2 can be handheld or placed for a second angle (guests’ reactions, close-ups).
🎥 How to Film
Start recording on both cameras before the ceremony/speeches begin - don’t stop until it’s over!
After the ceremony, retrieve the microphones and return them to the case and stop the recordings.
📌 Reminders
✔ Battery & Storage – Keep an eye on the battery & space (top of the screen).
✔ Avoid overheating – Don’t leave cameras in direct sunlight for long.
âś” Not waterproof! Keep away from heavy rain & drinks.
✔ Mics are small — don’t lose them! Return them to the case after the ceremony & speeches.
Have fun, capture real moments, and don’t be afraid to be on camera! Hit record and get married! Good Luck!
